Hi guys! Hope you survived the chocolate onslaught that was Easter okay! I posted photos of the massive amounts of chocolate we’ve got left on facebook – OMG I’m going to be eating chocolate every day until next Easter! Below are the sizzlers for BODYSTEP 80 & BODYJAM 53 – normally I get all the sizzlers at once but this round they’ve been trickled through… I expect the rest in the next 24 hours (thanks again Kacie!). Also keep an eye on the blog in the coming days as all the Les Mills tracklists for 2010-Q2 will be out any minute (yes already!! Crazy!) And BODYCOMBAT 45 filming is in two weeks… will give you all the goss on that too! In the meantime enjoy!! 🙂

BODYSTEP 80 sizzler

We’re celebrating 20 years of BODYSTEP people. Can you believe it? BODYSTEP 80 is packed with singalong 80s remakes, karaoke moments, legwarmers and fluoro colours. What more could you ask for? oh yeah, its also fun, athletic and a seriously tough workout.

First up we get Respectable with the Mel & Kim Arm combo. If you’re too young to remember the original, check out youtube for inspiration.

Warm the stepping muscles to the familiar 80’s riff of track 2’s Goodbye with its strong focus on correct technique and clean arm-lines.

Get low and explore the pyramids then stomp through the sand as you walk like an Egyptian in track 5. There are some great imagery opportunities to help you train the lower body. Slip on the headbands as we join the kids from fame in track 7 and get ready for a mix of work and play as you catch your breath. focus on correct knee alignment and fame fun in the Hip extensions. BodyStep is gonna live forever!!

Yee-Haw..In track 9, grab your cowboy hat for a hoedown throwdown speedstep. Then, simple powerful moves in track 10 will help everyone hit that final cardio peak. Dont call me, call BodyStep!!!

BODYJAM 53 sizzler

Welcome to the Church of BODYJAM!! Release 53 could quite well be, the hardest, most intense, most insane workout created by anyone, EVER.

Fedde Le Grand sets the class on FIRE (AGAIN! how many FLG warmups does the world need? Apparently one more…) the Chris Breezy and Lil Weezy will transform the un-isolated into pure isolation-ites.

Our latin Excursion will get you High-High-HIGH in the ayer. Then welcome to the Disco Twenty Ten, the most nostalgic, flashiest, cheesiest BODYJAM routine since Jive from Release 48!

The Freemasons then set us up with British poshness. Beethoven has been reincarnated, mashed up with Soulwax, to make the choicest remix of a 150 year old track. Then Bob Sinclair will have you humming constantly (you know when you get a song stuck in your head and wake up at 3 in the morning wanting to scream??) DU DUH DAH DA DOOO DOOOOOOOO….

Russian Roulette drops the heart rate with a little Stomp Wave, then are you ready for the Maddest Dopeness Eva?!?

Wait til you hear the Laidback Luke remix of Dizzee… Shut, the, front, door. And how soon is now? Swedish House Mafia pose the strangest question to the sickest beat ever… clearly its quite soon!!

Sizzlers are out! Enjoy guys – see ya in 2010! 🙂

BODYCOMBAT 43 Sizzler

You are not going to believe what we’ve got in store for you this time! The music in BODYCOMBAT® 43 is a lot more upbeat and has more Top-40 to get you through the workout. The choreography is simple and flows easily from track to track. The release can be described as heaps of fun with exciting sequences and a brand new move.

However, don’t let this fool you. We can tell you from firsthand experience that this is one hardcore Mixed Martial Arts endurance workout!

And here’s some shocking news – BODYCOMBAT® 43 has no recovery tracks! Why? Because we want you to get even fitter. You will be seriously challenged, but stay with the fight – the benefit is that you’ll get into phenomenal shape.

This release opens the door for new and modern Martial Arts to be welcomed into the BODYCOMBAT® family. Try out your skills with the Shoot to take the fight from standing to the ground in Track 4. This move will help you to push over your opponent while giving you a burning leg workout at the same time.

Guess which blockbuster film inspired Track 6? Just watch out for that Back Kick section – it’s gonna hurt, but this ain’t no time for ‘parlay’.

Once we’ve Overloaded your shoulders in Track 8, your new conditioning move, the Tripod Push Up, will have you begging for mercy, making you totally appreciate the extended Cooldown.

Check out the new arm combo – you’ll feel like a pop star on MTV. You’ll move around the step with some Spanish flava in Track 3. Move like a ‘Torero’ (bullfighter) or a Flamenco dancer. Let’s Get Excited in Track 4. Look out for the surprise Madonna moment!

Moonwalk through Track 5 to Blood On The Dance Floor. You’ll work your lower body, toning and shaping the legs. Add flava by striking a pose each time you hear him scream! Start working your way up to the tough cardio peak in Track 6. Squat Jumps, ouble Jumps, Nutcrackers – Nod Ya Head if you’re gasping for breath already! The low options are there if you need them. Watch out for the great new move in Track 7, the Step Jump. This is propulsion training at its highest! Get up even Higher in Track 8 with some Latino flava.

I Got A Girl in Track 9 is a super-quick Speed Step Track for the boys. Get your feet moving double time with the new Zigzag Combo. The King of Pop is still in the building with the cover of Smooth Criminal in the first part of Track 11. This is possibly the most intense leg burn to date!

BODYBALANCE 48 Sizzler

BODYBALANCE® 48 is a journey towards peace. This release will lead you from the epic battle of Ben-Hur, through protest and reflection, and finally into deep understanding and awareness of your body and the world around you.

We’ll begin with a sword-dance inspired by the Love Theme From Ben Hur, and then sink more deeply into our breath than we’ve ever gone before in the Sun Salutations Track.

The Balance Track feels like a massive hug – you’ll understand once you experience this track. You’ll then expand your hip horizons with the 3-Legged Down Dog with open hip in Track 5.

Find your beat in the Core – Abdominals Track. Here’s your chance to break out of the BODYBALANCE® mold and beat your protesting drums on the floor. We are One Tribe!

Begin to wind down into calm to the emotional Before The Worst. Then fall even further with Kelly Clarkson’s Already Gone, before experiencing the phenomenal beauty of our remake of Moby’s Study War.

The meditation to Wildflowers asks for true reflection on the joy already present in our lives – the perfect note on which to end the class.

BODYJAM 52 Sizzler

BODYJAM® 52 is a smorgasbord of style, an assortment of sensations and a cacophony of choreography. This release is so super-awesome that we’ve given you a whole extra bonus block to teach!

That’s right, teach the Dark Block or teach the Bonus Pop Block – it’s your choice! Dubstep or Whitney?

The Warmup is a euphoric journey of movement exploration, before Shakira makes you howl with the Backward Hip Roll in Track 2. Then it’s time to bring your butt to the party in our all-new Merengue track, Gualando by Fulanito.

The Dark Block is unlike anything you’ve ever heard before – it’s phat, huge and driving. The contrasting sounds of Gangsta rap and Dancehall crazy come together in a trailblazing fusion of Dubstep madness.

In the recovery, T-Pain will have you tugging and pulling at your clothes, but no matter what you do, DO NOT TAKE YOUR SHIRT OFF!

Then lose your mind (again) to the hottest music on the planet – Major Lazer is blowing up worldwide with New Age Jamaican Electro Dancehall craziness. Right Hand Hi from Kid Sister comes from the sickest House producers in the world. Then the sounds from Jump Smokers and Vandalism will blow your head off, BODYJAM® style.

Beyoncé brings the party to a close, but don’t forget about the Bonus Pop Block! JT, Britney, Whitney – what more needs to be said? IT’S BODYJAM® TIME!

RPM 46 Sizzler

Welcome to the party! The intense mix of new and old chart-toppers in RPM™ 46 will push you to a calorieburning endorphin high as you become one with the Tribe.

A flashback to the 1990s kicks off our out-of-this-world workout with Jamiroquai’s Cosmic Girl. You know that “tonight’s gonna be a good night” in Track 2 when we really get the party started in the Pace Track. Kelly Clarkson will carry you through your first climbing challenge before you’ll dive deep into Paul Van Dyke’s nurturing song, Home.

Rock your way through the epic Intervals Track with The Pretender using four big gears. Your leg muscles will be burning in the standing attacks! Then slide forwards in the saddle and really push yourself in the sprints in Track 6. Release your mind and your legs to the beautifully internal Sincere For You.

Let’s Evacuate The Dancefloor in Track 7 to truly finish off this party. We’ve got five big mountains to climb before Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown take us home.

It would be a Miracle if you could do the last Power Training Track with the same energy you started with. Your speed and endurance are certainly tested in this track.

BODYPUMP 72 Sizzler

BODYPUMP® 72 is all about making your class stronger, faster. How? By focusing on Bottom Halves and Partial Range movements, the rest phase is eliminated and the muscles are kept under tension for longer. Challenge yourself and go a bit heavier than normal in the rocky and upbeat Biceps Track. The Bicep Row returns, attacking your guns from a different direction. It’s back to the legs in the intense Track 7. The Lunges stick with the theme of the release – you guessed it – lots of Bottom Halves that will push up your heart and burn calories. The
Shoulders Track is a tribute to the legend that is Michael Jackson – make sure you watch the DVD for this one! The range of motion in the Singles has been shortened to ¾ Range. Grit your teeth and hang on! Ciara and Justin Timberlake will take you through the Abdominals Track with Love Sex Magic. Your heart rate will climb high with the Power Knee Lifts. Look out for new move the Quarter-Turn Curl Combo.

Add some attitude to the lower-body workout in Track 5. MadLab sums it up well with Wiggle It. Let it rip Across The Top in Track 6! You’ll reach your second cardio peak in this athletic track while singing along to She Is Beautiful.

Use Track 7 as a cardio recovery while sculpting your lower body. You’ll feel like you are walking a tightrope with the Lunges and Knee Lifts to Britney Spears’ Circus. Bring on the Party Step Track! It’s your turn to shine and ‘dance with the stars’. Feel the rhythm and get into it with Mambo Cha-Chas and powerful Propulsive Hamstring Curls.
Every little thing about Track 9 is magic! This is the Speed Step Track so lift your knees up and run like an athlete on the sprint track. If it’s possible, reach even higher in Track 10! Rock out with Knee Repeaters and new move the 3 Knee Rocker before working on your leg strength in Track 11 with 1-Legged Squats and the Tree Pose.

BODYBALANCE 47 / BODYFLOW 47  Sizzler

Don’t let the soft and flowing nature of BODYBALANCE® 47 fool you – this is one of the most challenging releases ever created.

Warm up with a series of simple, traditional Tai Chi exercises. The exercises are laid out in an evolving progression, making it easy for your class participants to master the moves. You will be challenged in the Sun Salutations Track.

The new innovation is the 3-Legged Dog, shifting to Plank Pose and then sinking into Crocodile Pose. Find grace and make the movements feel beautiful in Track 4. There’s also a new pose called the Scorpion, evolving from the 3-Legged Dog. Increase your mobility with the beautiful twisting poses to Beyoncé’s Halo, before coming into the Hamstring work to Annie Lennox’s stunning rendition of Whiter Shade Of Pale. BODYJAM 51 Sizzler

BODYJAM® 51 is here to drop a funk bomb on the floor in your club! We’ve got hits from T-Pain and The Ting Tings, the best Gloria Estefan track ever and the hottest House anthems of the year! Track 1, Scared Of Me from Fedde le Grand, is so funky it should be illegal. The first combo comes back strong in the second half of the class, so feel the correct flava from beat one. T-Pain’s track, Freeze, will take you through the Isolation block. This is about feeling your hips from the beginning. Sing along while you get your class to “dance like me”. Get your Swag Swag on to The Ting Tings’ Shut Up And Let Me Go – one of the hottest tracks from 2008. So what is Swag? Swag is your flava.

The style is purely you, and you know you are all over it! Make it oversized and Swagalicious, baby! The new Tribal Salsa routine is a cosmic concoction of Latin styles.

This standout anthem of 2009 is so phenomenal that we’ve included two versions for a full 11½ minutes! Want more jammers on the floor? Use the two complexity levels to grow your BODYJAM® class.

Teach the low-complexity version for at least three weeks before adding in the advanced options. BODYCOMBAT 41

BC41-lowresAre you ready for a total-body Martial Arts experience? Because that’s what BODYCOMBAT® 41 is all about – the theme is Backyard Brawl and you’ll be chiselled into the ultimate fighting machine! The extended Warm Up prepares you for the workout ahead and includes the Jab, Cross, Bob Combo. Sing along to Kelly Clarkson’s My Life Would Suck Without You during the lower body workout before the first fight is ignited in Track 2 with the Treble Elbow/Double Knee Combo. Track 3 is all about the contrast between speed and power. Watch out for the onslaught that is Track 4 which features new move the Double-Handed Plyo Push. This track combines two songs – Enter Sandman and P.O.D’s Boom and gives you the feeling of two totally different workouts. It’s an opportunity to show what you’ve got, ready or not! Flush your legs and spike your heart rate in Track 5 with three rounds of boxing – Running is the feature here. Tae Kwon Do is in the house in Track 6 – you’ve got four opponents with the secret being to strike like a cobra. The rawness of the most lethal Martial Art – Muay Thai – is explored in Track 7 before you hit the fatigue wall in Track 8. You can’t go over it, you can’t go under it – you just have to punch through it! Flo Rida feat. Kesha will spin you Right Round in Track 9 while your abs are blasted with the Circle Situp. New stretch, the Downward Dog, is introduced in Track 10 and really gets into the hamstrings and the backs of the legs. Beyoncé’s Halo is the perfect Cooldown Track after the Backyard Brawl that is BODYCOMBAT® 41.

BODYPUMP 71

BP71-lowresBODYPUMP® 71 is all about teaching from the heart, not from the head. The exercises are easy to coach, giving you the freedom to focus on connecting your participants to the magic of the workout and the music. The release focuses on two kinds of training — strength work in tracks 3, 5, 6 and 8, and cardio dynamite in tracks 2, 4 and 7. Warm-up to the captivating, warm voice of James Sampson, a singer and BODYPUMP™ instructor living in Denmark. Magnetized is his original song. The Squat Track is a killer! Sing along to the Summer of 69 cover but be prepared for huge blocks of Singles and Bottom Halves. Most of the work is done in a wide stance, which allows you to go lower. Oh yeah! Pace yourself in the Chest Track. In Right Round, Flo Rida and Kesha will inspire you to go all the way down in four identical sets of work without recovery. A set of Push-ups at the end will finish you off. Push yourself in the hugely energetic and athletic Back Track! Four Clean and Presses in a row are followed by Triple Rows. Eskimo Joe will take you through the Triceps Track with Black Fingernails, Red Wine. Be prepared for a Bottom Halves challenge! The Biceps Track is straight-forward, allowing you to just relax and really feel the music. Then find out how low you can go in the Lunge Track, where cardio meets butt. Unleash your strength in the Shoulders Track. Go harder and heavier as we attack the shoulders from three different directions – back, side and front.

BODYATTACK 66

BA66-lowresYou’ll be charged from start to finish with BODYATTACK® 66 – it’s a fusion of magic, movements and music to take you toward two high-energy peaks. Just Dance is a great Warm Up track with a huge amount of energy and lift off! You’ll have loads of fun with the Fly on the Wall theme of Track 3 where intensity is lifted in the Superman’s and maintained with the Shuffle Combinations. The new Side Step and Squat Combo in Track 4 will help peak your heart rate before you’re challenged with 100 push-ups in Track 5. Don’t worry though – there are plenty of options to help you through! The Running Track, Track 6, is all about technique, energy and as the song When You Leave suggests, some “Ha ha!” In Track 7 you have a chance to relax and have some fun in the rhythm combo. Look forward to the sports training which builds power and strength, especially in the Step Runs and Ice Skaters. Track 8 is five minutes of energy, adrenalin and passion to really build your fitness. I Kissed A Girl motivates you to reach your maximum peak before the rocking and appropriately named Take It To The Limit really pushes you to your second peak. Reset, breathe and condition your legs in Track 10 with the Repeaters and Lunges before spinning your legs right round with the Scoop in the core conditioning track.

RPM 44

rpm44-lowresRPM™ 44 is hot, fast and is guaranteed to leave you gasping for air! There are two important things to note in RPM™ 44 – when you find the beat of the music in the racing and aero-racing positions, slide hips slightly forward in the scale as this will allow you to go faster. When the resistance gets heavier, do the opposite and sit back in the saddle. RPM™ 44 is balanced slightly differently to previous releases – Tracks 4 and 6 are a little more intense so to balance it out, Tracks 5 and 7 are a little more fun. Seal’s The Right Life eases you into the workout as you gradually build up speed before picking up the heart rate with three pace speed phases and two climbs in Track 2! You’ll be sliding back into the seat to tackle the Seated Climbs in Track 3 and you won’t be able to resist singing along to Show Me Heaven during the Standing Climb. There are four hills to climb so you’ll peak your heart-rate four times! Watch for the three sprints in Track 4 and remember to slide forward on the saddle when you race on the beat. Matchbox Twenty’s How Far We’ve Come will help you through the five blocks of work in Track 5. In Track 6 there are three accelerations to find the beat of the music – this track is tough so beware! Scooter vs. Status Quo in Track 7 – this track is awesome and the music will motivate you through the steepest of the mountains.

BODYJAM 50

BJ50-lowresBODYJAM® 50 takes the authentic feeling of dance, adds the cardio intensity of Les Mills, then throws it in a blender, adds a generous serving of style, and serves it up on a pizza layered in funk ready for you and your class to devour. Before you start teaching this release, think about which Advanced options to add in early, and which ones you can hold back for later. Then drop them like a ‘magic bomb’ and watch your class go off! Fedde le Grand remixes Saturday to make the funkiest warm-up track ever. It’ll get the house feel into the room with the first beat. Then keep the same footwork but make it swift and sasstastic with JT and Ciara’s monster hit Love, Sex, Magic. Your class will Side Mambo, Fast Mambo and Mambo everywhere to three remixes of the same beat… The mambo Extravaganza is HOT like Fiyah! This routine creates an awesome group energy in the room. Then come with us on a Cardio Funk journey back to the early 1990’s for some Hammer-time! There are Kick Ball changes and Kris Crosses galore, and the Shabam Shabam is even cooler than its name. New Zealand’s very own J Williams takes the routine home with his banger of a track, Set It Off. Get into the style, break out to the sound! Cardio Funk Shabam Shabam taking over NOW! T-Pain and Jamie Foxx drop the heart rate for just a second, and then you are back on the dance floor combining Tribal and House to the sickest sounds ever! Sneaky Sound System’s club hit Pictures sets up the first half, then keep that bounce in your body to the hugest remix from Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. Finish this all off to the intense Tribal diva sound of Finally.

BODYSTEP 77

BS77-lowresJoin the BODYSTEP® team to raise breast cancer awareness in your club with BODYSTEP® 77. It’s an opportunity to celebrate our cancer survivors and those who fought hard and lost the battle. This release is a mix of explosive cardio, endurance work and dance flava – you’ll get a taste of the flava in Track 2 with Swinger Arms and Cha Cha Chas to Alesha Dixon’s Boy Does Nothing. Lift the energy in the Turn Steps in Track 3! There is a new move – Walk the Plank. You’ll get a taste of hardcore bootcamp-style training in Track 4 with new move the Half Burpee. It will leave you gasping for breath! But don’t worry – it’s not as scary as it looks. Go low with The Skater in Track 5 to engage the gluteals. You’ll travel in three directions in the Drop Squat Combo, before releasing the energy in the Single Across the Tops in Track 6. Jessica Mauboy’s Burn sums up Track 7 well because the Lunge and Squat Combo is going to make your legs and butt – you guessed it – burn! Have some fun with the Funky Twister Dance and the Cha Cha Cha Combo in Track 8 before getting your dance moves on to De-Grees’ version of Lady Gaga’s Just Dance. You’ll love the swinging jive flavour in Track 9. Watch out for the new move – the Hop Kick Combo. Go hard in Track 10 – this is five minutes of pure energy, power and endurance. It’s all about contrast – work up high with the Taps and get down low with the Squats.

BODYBALANCE 46

BB46-lowresBODYBALANCE® is dramatic and challenging. Push your limits, because you never know exactly what you are capable of until you try. The options are there if you need them! Focus on your breathing in the warm-up track, then challenge yourself to lift off in the Knee to High Block Combination. You will feel like you are surfing in Track 2, feeling the flow of Yoga poses. Also featuring a one minute Down Dog, feel this quintessential yoga pose! Magnificent takes you through Track 3. There’s a new move – the Extended Warrior 2 with Prayer hands and lots of powerful drama. Find your balance to Shine in Track 4. This is a very challenging track, but there are lots of options available. Why? Because it feels amazing to sink into each hip opening pose accompanied by this gorgeous Annie Lennox classic. Take your abdominal strength to a whole new level in Track 6, before working on your strength, support and stability to Broken Strings in Track 7. You will really build strength in the Plank Pose Pullbacks. For something new try pushing off your back foot and bringing your weight forward in the Lunge Twist in Track 8. It feels great! Leona Lewis draws you into a beautiful, very deep hamstring stretch with Run. Then relax into Deuters Kindred Spirit, as you become aware of steadying the outside edge of your body and focusing specifically on your breathing.

BODYVIVE 12

BV12-lowresUnleash your inner rock star in BODYVIVE™ 12! With music from Lou Bega, Aretha Franklin and Foreigner you’ll definitely have lots of fun while you’re working out! Strike It Up takes you off the gym floor and into the nightclub – ‘90s styles! This nice long warm up will get you into the swing of things and raise the heart rate, ready for the strong leg workout that is Track 2. Your legs are loaded by getting low through the entire track, which will ensure you work your butt and thighs. Feel stylish and sassy in Lou Bega’s Gentlemen before the intensity lifts with Hamstring Curls and Cross Crawls in Track 4. Reach your cardio peak in Track 5 with You Really Got Me – this is your chance to really rock out and show what you’ve got. Seal’s Fly Like An Eagle is perfect for Track 6 where you perform the moves with fluidity and grace – much like you’re flying like an eagle. Track 7 sees the introduction of new move the Arabesque which will really challenge your balance and helps to strengthen the legs. Get ready to use the most challenging move first in Track 8 – it’s a hard track and there’s a new position for the Bicep Curls that works both the front and the back of the bicep. There’s a super simple setup for the Hamstring Curls and Side Leg Lifts in Track 9 before a deceptively intense abdominal track – watch out! New move the Single Leg Scoop really bites. Britney’s back in the Abdominals Track. Circus will motivate you to “show what you can do” with the new Reverse Curl. But wait, there’s more! Finish it all off with a hover with your feet on the bench – it’s harder but brings more benefits… New move the Side Line Arabesque and Scissor in Track 11 is great for back flexibility, strength and total core conditioning and what better song to end the rock-release than rock anthem I Want To Know What Love Is? Rock out with BODYVIVE™ 12!
