BODYCOMBAT 43 local release

Posted on: March 3, 2010

Just a quick post with some pics of the first BODYCOMBAT 43 release locally here. The gym themed the release week “Winter Olympics” which made our job interesting as what on earth were we meant to wear? (a ski suit maybe?? yikes!)

Instead we opted for a bit of a Pirate theme (to coincide with track 6) – so if you’re wondering why we’ve got pirate hats and swords with an Olympic logo above our heads… now you know! I immediately raced off after this class to do another release at a gym across town (first one was at 5:30pm – the second 6:30pm – bets on whether I was speeding on that trip!) But I now know BC43 very well so will post my review in the coming days.

In the meantime pics follow – and the BC Advanced Instructor Module is this weekend too so got a bit to write about!

can’t wait to hear about the AIM. I’m interested in them but would like to know a little more about them than what was mentioned at the workshop.

Yep I’ll spill all the goss – had a few requests for more info. Got an email today saying we need protective pads for it so I’m looking forward to some sparring! (yep I was surprised too!)

AIM sounds like fun!! Enjoy!! 😀

I LOVE it that you whipped out the pirate gearz for the launch! Learnt your lesson after the filming, huh? 😉

Glen, can you donate and ship your nice smashing sword and pirate’s hat to us? 🙂

I’m so glad we´re finally in March… i’ve been wanting these releases for so long!!!! 🙂 Love the pirate look btw!!

Thanks Glen, looks great.
Though I must say I am quite disappointed that you had to remove that short teasing clip from facebook (I did figure out why). It got me super excited about the new release and now I’m just frustrated..:(
C’mon, it was only a really really short video, it’s not like it ‘spoilt’ the surprise…..
BTW is there a timescale as in when you are allowed to post?

Yeah sorry about that Kati – no idea why I had to pull that down but I was told to. Was only 2 minutes long and was set to friends only privacy… but alas not my call. Sorry!

protective pads…hmmm. Probably the sparing to help connect with the essence of the program?

@Glen:
Yes, I know it wasn’t you, I did see “The message” on twitter.
I don’t understand, it’s getting a bit too ‘policed’ for my liking. I do realize that there are ‘rules’ but really, what is the harm? It’s supposed to be fun! And they are spoiling mine….:(
But thanks anyway, I enjoyed watching while I could 🙂

@kati – *sigh* me too. I don’t get it either… originally I was told I couldn’t post anything until after the first workshop here – which was about a month ago. Now apparently even a month after workshop is too soon.

Ironically without naming names some of the BC DVD presenters have tonnes of vids on their fb profiles. No idea why I’m so actively policed and they’re not.

@errol – yep – I think I’m gonna be leaving with more then a few bruises by the sounds. I’m quite looking forward to it being martial arts trained – but I’m sure some people saw the instruction to bring protective pads for fighting and got the fright of their life!

Have your say!
