Hey guys! The filming for BODYCOMBAT 55 was yesterday – man that was OUT OF CONTROL! I’m just writing the post about it now, but in the meantime the sizzler for BODYCOMBAT 54 has hit the net!
I’ve been lucky enough to have had my hands on BC54 for a wee while now and let me tell you it is one crazy release – track 2 is a freaken killer… but 55′s track 2 is even tougher! I’ll write more about that in my BC55 post which should be up in the next 24 hours, in the interim video and text versions of BC54′s sizzler are below, and you can read more about BODYCOMBAT 54 in my filming post – enjoy!
BODYCOMBAT 54 Sizzler
Hey guys and welcome to BODYCOMBAT 54! This release is going to knock you into a whole new world. We have made some really amazing changes based on your huge amount of feedback, and here is the crazily tough class to prove it!
Start softly with a double combo of Rock-chick hits, tons of combos and a lot of movement to really warm deep into your upper and lower bodies.
Then… you will not believe what is about to hit you!
The tempo of Track 2 is super slow, and the movement… TURBULENT. You will probably be finding it a bit tricky to stand up the morning after this workout!
So how do we follow up such a massive, epic Legs track? With the MOST EUPHORIC Track 3 BODYCOMBAT has ever seen.
The pain and subsequent pleasure continues with some ‘sick’ tunes and unthinkable combos until you come to, honestly, one of our most favorite Track 7 and 8 combos ever. You will not believe these two tracks – the sounds are unusual and the choreography is out of control. Just hold on tight!
Now you would think we would’ve given you enough after that, right? Well have you got a surprise in store… Check out the Hip Escape in Track 9, and remember to never ever block us on Facebook! Enjoy this one and remember people…

Things kick off with a fun yet effective Warmup set to the catchy pop beats of In My Head and Airplanes before the huge guitar builds and crazy drum sections of Smooth Criminal get you all fired up – and pulling out some seriously slick Tai Kwan Do moves.
We Dance On sets the scene for intense boxing training with the introduction of a new step and weave and a big focus on footwork. When the energy and electricity of Track 3 comes to a close then it’s time for the thigh-punishing Caporeira of Track 4. Here the combination of Esquivas, Lunges, Double Knees, Side Kicks and Front Kicks make getting through the five minutes of Come In Hard a real challenge!
Round 5 is where you need to grit your teeth and dig deep as a series of powerful Punches, Hooks and Jabs bring your shoulders back to the party. Remember, this is pure boxing, so act like a true fighter and push yourself until the bell sounds!
During the catchy beats of Drummer Boy you’ll lose yourself in the rhythm as you get your balance going and work those butt cheeks. Then, after upping the intensity with a series of Muay Thai combos that will lift your heart rate and totally blow you away, it’s time for power-packed Jabs, Uppercuts and Hooks as you unleash all you’ve got to the sounds of Everywhere.
As The Time starts playing the energy comes down a notch, but the challenging abdominal work means you’ll still be feeling the burn – after all, if you’re fighting strong in your core it will make a difference where it matters most!
After getting seriously warm during the thunderous beats and great guitar solos of Black Betty, Track 2 launches into straightforward, good old-fashioned Combat. Following a little Hip Hop, Russian style, and the Contagious Boxing track, there’s some insanely challenging leg conditioning – in true Karate Kid fashion. Here, Evasive Side Kicks, Lunges and Esquivas shape and tone the muscles of the glutes and smash your quads like a sledgehammer through glass.
The Braveheart 2006 Muay Thai Track is guaranteed to be a favourite. A dramatic intro will make the hairs on your arms stand up. Then, before you know if, your adrenaline will be at an all-time high as you bang out powerful Elbow and Knee Combos. And it doesn’t stop there…
The mother-of-all Track 8′s features not five, not six, not seven, but a full eight minutes of non-stop punches. And while the track may be titled I Surrender, this is something that you certainly won’t do. The aim is to utterly waste yourself, to reach your limit and then go a step beyond.
As things come to a close we give you exactly what you asked for – a whole three and a half minutes dedicated to pure abdominal work, set to the Dance-Pop hit Take It Off.
BODYPUMP® fans are already describing the shoulder track on this release as the toughest ever and who would argue?
The opening track – Fever serves as a preview of the carnage to come, as you find the perfect SET position over the punchy big beats. Game on!
Track 2 engages the legs with heavy Squats and sets the tone for the rest of the workout, with a barrage on the upper body and a chest section that lays down a challenge – Press-Ups off an elevated platform.
The first new element arrives in Track 4 – a wider lift grip for Rows that has you feeling the intensity build-up behind the shoulders – then go slightly heavier than usual to target the triceps, culminating with One-Arm Kickbacks for best isolation.
In Track 6, Susan Renata straps on her spurs and holsters, and has some fun riding the range, while working the “guns” to Cowboy Casanova, the real showpiece of this release.
But the levity doesn’t last long. Track 8 gives the shoulders a hammering with the new Rotator Pec Dec move… BECAUSE WE NEED MORE HARDCORE!
Then it’s time for yet another innovation – wider feet set in the Hover position to stabilize and challenge the core as you walk the hands, one by one, to Press-Up width and back.
By the time you warm down, your body will be confirming what those fans already knew.

“There’s no easy way out, there’s no shortcut home…” the warmup for this release says it all. Setting the scene for a high-energy, MMA workout that will get you fitter and fighting smarter, this unique, extended warmup has real WOW factor – and by the end of it you’ll be revved up and ready for your first fight.
Entering into the opening round of combat you’ll be fired up by the driving beat of Stephanie Smith’s Back To Innocence. This is guaranteed to get you ready for the happy hardcore base beats of Track 3 – a power track that makes you want to punch really hard!
Following the Mission Impossible-inspired second combat track, you’ll take the energy up a notch and unleash some swift Jabs as you Speed Ball your way through the old classic, Proud Mary. Next up is the techno cover of Rihanna’s Russian Roulette – its explosive chorus will empower you on a whole new level.
When it comes to the Muay Thai Track, if you’re going to go out, make sure you’re Goin’ Out Swingin’. This aptly titled number is the ideal track to throw bombs to, drop hard elbows and strike with the knees. Bringing things to an all-time high is See The Light, an uplifting, energy-packed track that really steps up to the power mark, showcasing a new Power Hook and creating an insane sense of euphoria at the same time!
And to close, we bring back the Alligator Push Up…Yeeouch!
Simple, fun and physically challenging – the extended blocks of choreography in BODYSTEP® 81 make mastering all the moves a breeze so you can just get down to the business of workin’ it!
Following the straight-up, athletic warmup where 3 really is the magic number, you’ll get straight into strutting your stuff, Cha-Cha-Cha-ing away to the aptly titled flava -filled track, Ego. Then it’s time to bring out the Mexican Wave in Track 3 – of course creating your own stylized wave is a must!
Track 5 is where you’ll put your legs Under Pressure to get the ultimate lower body workout before upping the cardio intensity and unleashing the Nutcracker to the catchy chanting of No Sleep. Here, the extended blocks of choreography make it simple to get the moves perfect.
After catching your breath during the Track 7 recovery, you won’t be able to help letting your hair down, showing off your sneakers and adding your own flair for the ultimate party track, Sneakernight. Next up, embrace 1940s Swing, bring out the Jazz Hands and retain the intensity with vigorous footwork – before getting On A Mission for the final cardio peak.
As things come to a close you Keep Your Body Working with a focus on leg strength and balance, and then the new J-Lo tune Louboutins provides the perfect soundtrack for working the abs with the Walking Plank.

The party really hits top gear with the highlight of this release. Normally one of the toughest sections of any BODYATTACK® class, Track 9 is still hard, but Lisa and Bevan lighten the mood with their hilarious Tina Turner impersonations on Proud Mary, complete with dance moves and a little help from the local Les Mills faithful.
Track 10 reminds you how much you love great legs, featuring Squat Jumps and a little Single-Foot Takeoff ‘layup’ action to continue the basketball theme, before taking it to the floor to strengthen the core and prepare for the game of life.

Standing Strength will have you stretching to new limits with a reworked expression of the Warrior 1 stretch – the Lateral Bend. Fortunately, old favorites The Script are on hand to help make anything seem possible with their track Breakeven.
We’re joining the stars of “Avatar” for Track 4 and it’s not just Leona Lewis’ uplifting song I See You that’s courtesy of the award-winning movie. Jackie Mills has also played with the themes, and references the story of the Navi in the choreography.
Track 4 introduces Ujjayi Breathing which is new to BODYBALANCE® but a fundamental practice in Yoga. Imagine your throat narrowing as you use the technique to release stress and calm your body.
The two Core Tracks get straight to the point and are focused on what they do best – working the abdominals and back – before Please Don’t Stop The Rain leads us into a Down Dog Twist in Track 8. Pump up your tyres and adjust your racing goggles… RPM® 48 is taking you out on the road in a battle for survival against some of the world’s cycling legends.
The first of two race stages consists of 10 minutes to get the body really warm, a hill climb and mixed terrain to keep the energy alive, then intervals that will severely test your reserves. Stage 2 involves a series of sprints, before tackling the mountain.
Track 1 sets off behind the pace car, an opportunity to check out your opposition and find a Cycle SET position that will provide the foundation of your workout.
As the route takes you down the Lost Highway, the pace quickens, allowing you to open your lungs, engage the legs and find a spot at the front of the bunch.

Huge dance hit Use Somebody starts us off smooth and sweet. it nicely warms up your legs, preparing them for the vicious battle they are about to face.
Track 4′s Paint It Black 2009 is perfect for working on your execution of the Shoot. And Ignorance will get your elbows higher than ever in Track 5 with one of the coolest chorus combos yet! Let that emo sound drive you and really sink your fangs into this workout.
Then, come with us to a place BODYCOMBAT has never gone before – opera mixed with a tough balance challenge. Nessun Dorma (English: None shall sleep) is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini’s opera Turandot. Find your focus, and let your Side Kick fly. This will really blow your glutes.
Mortal Kombat‘s theme song is in Muay thai for track 7 and have a look – so are sonya, Scorpion and SubZero. Get inspired. Then get furious. Two words: downward punch.
Hold on…..did you hear that? Brazilian jiu-jitsu is in BODYCOMBAT! Crocodile Push Ups and Triangle Chokes? What’s going on here? Take it to the floor and feel those abs getting cut, right before your eyes.

BODYCOMBAT 43 Sizzler
You are not going to believe what we’ve got in store for you this time! The music in BODYCOMBAT® 43 is a lot more upbeat and has more Top-40 to get you through the workout. The choreography is simple and flows easily from track to track. The release can be described as heaps of fun with exciting sequences and a brand new move.
However, don’t let this fool you. We can tell you from firsthand experience that this is one hardcore Mixed Martial Arts endurance workout!
And here’s some shocking news – BODYCOMBAT® 43 has no recovery tracks! Why? Because we want you to get even fitter. You will be seriously challenged, but stay with the fight – the benefit is that you’ll get into phenomenal shape.
This release opens the door for new and modern Martial Arts to be welcomed into the BODYCOMBAT® family. Try out your skills with the Shoot to take the fight from standing to the ground in Track 4. This move will help you to push over your opponent while giving you a burning leg workout at the same time.
Guess which blockbuster film inspired Track 6? Just watch out for that Back Kick section – it’s gonna hurt, but this ain’t no time for ‘parlay’.

BODYPUMP® 73 is challenging, bordering on punishing, but it will leave you with a great sense of achievement. We’ve got intense isolated work in store for you,especially in the Chest, Triceps, Biceps and ShouldersTracks. Get prepared right now for the huge cardio endurance work in Tracks 2, 4 and 7.
Musically, this release holds a real contrast of genres that will get you through the intensity of the workout. Feel strong and onfident as the chart-topping music pushes you to new limits.

BODYSTEP® 79 brings Latino and South Pacific vibes, cardio peaks that will push your heart rate through the roof and possibly the most intense leg burn yet.
We’ve got Boom Boom Pow in Track 1 to really get you warm. Track 2 will have you singing along like a diva to the Freemasons’ mix of Whitney Houston’s Million Dollar Bill. Check out the new arm combo – you’ll feel like a pop star on MTV. You’ll move around the step with some Spanish flava in Track 3. Move like a ‘Torero’ (bullfighter) or a Flamenco dancer. Let’s Get Excited in Track 4. Look out for the surprise Madonna moment!
Moonwalk through Track 5 to Blood On The Dance Floor. You’ll work your lower body, toning and shaping the legs. Add flava by striking a pose each time you hear him scream! Start working your way up to the tough cardio peak in Track 6. Squat Jumps, ouble Jumps, Nutcrackers – Nod Ya Head if you’re gasping for breath already! The low options are there if you need them. BODYBALANCE® 48 is a journey towards peace.This release will lead you from the epic battle of Ben-Hur, through protest and reflection, and finally into deep understanding and awareness of your body and the world around you.
We’ll begin with a sword-dance inspired by the Love Theme From Ben Hur, and then sink more deeply into our breath than we’ve ever gone before in the Sun Salutations Track.

Welcome to the party! The intense mix of new and old chart-toppers in RPM™ 46 will push you to a calorieburning endorphin high as you become one with the Tribe.
A flashback to the 1990s kicks off our out-of-this-world workout with Jamiroquai’s Cosmic Girl. You know that “tonight’s gonna be a good night” in Track 2 when we really get the party started in the Pace Track. Welcome to the 1980s – get out your leg warmers and leotards! BODYVIVE™ 14 will take you on an uplifting journey through some of the best tracks from this awesome decade. This release is simple, easy to learn and has lots of options.
You’ll get off to a great start, warming up to Wham!’s I’m Your Man, before getting Footloose in the Dance Cardio Track. The Heart Fitness block is a little longer than usual, so enjoy!
The second half of the class is full of challenging legwork that’s going to give you More Than A Feeling in your lower body. Be prepared for lots of Lunges and Warrior 1’s and 2’s. We’ll then stay down in Funky Town and get another six minutes of butt-kickin’ work to get us in fantastic shape!
Express Yourself in the Upper Body Strength Track while singing along to the cover of Madonna’s classic. This is a great chance to strengthen and tone your arms.
You’ll get hit by another old favorite – Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up – which will get you through the new move in the Ab Strength Track, the Knee Half Circle. You’ll squeeze the VIVE™ ball behind your knees with your toes on the floor and then lift and move your knees in a half circle to each side. Next, get ready for a challenge – we have Chest and Tricep Push Ups in store for you to get rid of the waddle.
Then we’ll finally allow you to Release & Restore to Cyndi Lauper, letting your True Colours shine through.

BODYCOMBAT 42 Sizzler
The Muay Thai inspired BODYCOMBAT® 42 transports the class to Bangkok! This release will take you on a Martial Arts journey, from Karate and Tae kwon do to the boxing ring. Fight your way through and hope you’ve got enough left in the tank for the epic Muay Thai onslaught that is Track 7! Sing along to Kelly Clarkson’s I Do Not Hook Up while warming up with Side, Front and Roundhouse Kicks.
Then get ready for Karate and Tae kwon do in a battle of Martial Arts in Track 2! Find out how fit you really are in Track 3. Boxing is the name of the game in six rounds of interval training. You are in the ring and you don’t stop!
Watch out for the new move in Track 4 – the Sweep will knock your opponent out of the way and work your inner thighs at the same time. The class splits into two groups for some social interaction, fighting style, before you’re whisked away to Brazil. You will be practicing the art of defense and attack in authentic Capoeira to The Prodigy’s Warrior’s Dance. Now, what we’ve all been waiting for – eight minutes of Muay Thai! This track will transport you to a dark fight club in Thailand and push your heart rate to unknown heights. It would be a Miracle if you could do the last Power Training Track with the same energy you started with. Your speed and endurance are certainly tested in this track.
BODYPUMP 72 Sizzler
BODYPUMP® 72 is all about making your class stronger,faster. How? By focusing on Bottom Halves and Partial Range movements, the rest phase is eliminated and the muscles are kept under tension for longer. Look forward to a challenging workout and an overall strength blast where active recovery is your only break! Brace your abs and prepare for more Bottom Halves than you bargained for in the Squats Track. Kelly Clarkson will motivate you to keep going with her huge hit I Do Not Hook Up. New Zealand’s own Dane Rumble sings Track 3 – Always Be There. Bottom Halves and Slow Bottom Halves will put your chest muscles under tension for a little bit longer than usual. Ouch! The good news is this will give you results faster. The Triceps Track is sweet like Sugar! Again, Bottom Halves are the name of the game.
Challenge yourself and go a bit heavier than normal in the rocky and upbeat Biceps Track. The Bicep Row returns, attacking your guns from a different direction. It’s back to the legs in the intense Track 7. The Lunges stick with the theme of the release – you guessed it – lots of Bottom Halves that will push up your heart and burn calories. The
Shoulders Track is a tribute to the legend that is Michael Jackson – make sure you watch the DVD for this one! The range of motion in the Singles has been shortened to ¾ Range. Grit your teeth and hang on! Ciara and Justin Timberlake will take you through the Abdominals Track with Love Sex Magic. The mix of deep, lower abdominals work and the Walking Hover will chisel your six-pack and at the same time strengthen your core.
BODYSTEP 78 Sizzler
Get ready to lift the energy to new heights with the athletic BODYSTEP® 78! You will also get the chance to strike some fabulous poses, get funky with the dance flava and, of course, work on your endurance. Stay low and check your posture to Sneaky Sound System’s Pictures in Track 2. You’ll stick with the photo-shoot theme in Track 3, striking poses to Girls On Film while starting to build up the intensity with strong Over The Tops. Turn it up in Track 4! Your heart rate will climb high with the Power Knee Lifts. Look out for new move the Quarter-Turn Curl Combo.
Add some attitude to the lower-body workout in Track 5. MadLab sums it up well with Wiggle It. Let it rip Across The Top in Track 6! You’ll reach your second cardio peak in this athletic track while singing along to She Is Beautiful.
Use Track 7 as a cardio recovery while sculpting your lower body. You’ll feel like you are walking a tightrope with the Lunges and Knee Lifts to Britney Spears’ Circus. Bring on the Party Step Track! It’s your turn to shine and ‘dance with the stars’. Feel the rhythm and get into it with Mambo Cha-Chas and powerful Propulsive Hamstring Curls.
Every little thing about Track 9 is magic! This is the Speed Step Track so lift your knees up and run like an athlete on the sprint track. If it’s possible, reach even higher in Track 10! Rock out with Knee Repeaters and new move the 3 Knee Rocker before working on your leg strength in Track 11 with 1-Legged Squats and the Tree Pose.
BODYATTACK 67 Sizzler
BODYATTACK® 67 is about having fun and finishing the class together as a team! Chart-topper Closer by Chris Crew will get the show on the road leading into the huge hit for track number 2, Release Me . Amp it up in Track 3! Turn up the energy and make the moves bigger in four blocks of work. There is a new combo consisting of three Knee Crossovers and two Single Knees. When you’re ready, add a turn! You’ll finish off this track with 30 seconds of Jumping Jacks to Gimme More. Surrender to the music and Rock It to your peak in the insanely intense Track 4.
Single Lunges, High Knees and Jumping Jacks will push your heart rate through the roof! Come down to the floor to get some Boom Boom Pow in your shoulders, chest and triceps with Pushups, before getting ready for the second cardio block. First, be Number 1 on the studio floor and then it’s off to soccer practice. The class splits into two squads for some agility training and football-inspired moves. Get ready – you are now entering the high-energy phase of BODYATTACK®! Take Me To The Clouds Above will inspire you to reach the clouds and take the intensity higher than you have ever been before! Stay in the zone to push your body through Tuck Jumps, High Knees and Jumping Jacks, while singing along to the cover of The Cranberries’ monster hit Zombie.
BODYBALANCE 47 / BODYFLOW 47 Sizzler
Don’t let the soft and flowing nature of BODYBALANCE® 47 fool you – this is one of the most challenging releases ever created.
Warm up with a series of simple, traditional Tai Chi exercises. The exercises are laid out in an evolving progression, making it easy for your class participants to master the moves. You will be challenged in the Sun Salutations Track.
The new innovation is the 3-Legged Dog, shifting to Plank Pose and then sinking into Crocodile Pose. Find grace and make the movements feel beautiful in Track 4. Track 1, Scared Of Me from Fedde le Grand, is so funky it should be illegal. The first combo comes back strong in the second half of the class, so feel the correct flava from beat one. T-Pain’s track, Freeze, will take you through the Isolation block. This is about feeling your hips from the beginning. Sing along while you get your class to “dance like me”. Get your Swag Swag on to The Ting Tings’ Shut Up And Let Me Go – one of the hottest tracks from 2008. So what is Swag? Swag is your flava.
The style is purely you, and you know you are all over it! Make it oversized and Swagalicious, baby! The new Tribal Salsa routine is a cosmic concoction of Latin styles.
It’s going to fire up your floor and push your heart rate through the roof. Are you ready for the hottest, nastiest Recovery Track ever? Missy Elliott’s anthem One Minute Man is Hip Hop 101. Get yo’ Bounce Bounce on with the Kick Back Step. Surrender yourself to the rhythm and Leave The World Behind! This standout anthem of 2009 is so phenomenal that we’ve included two versions for a full 11½ minutes! Want more jammers on the floor? Use the two complexity levels to grow your BODYJAM® class.
Teach the low-complexity version for at least three weeks before adding in the advanced options. Get your class comfortable with the release as a whole, then start throwing in the advanced options over the next couple of weeks. Save some of the trickier options for later to keep your advanced class participants on their toes.
RPM 45 Sizzler
RPM™ 45 is all about creating awareness of how to use resistance. Show your class how much resistance to use, how to find it, what it feels like and what the benefits are. Also coach your class to ride fast – find the working load and ride the beat! Set off on the open road to the uplifting classic Life Is A Highway. Your heart rate will pick up in Track 2 with three fast sprints and one small climb.
Use this track to find the right working load. Listen to the lyrics in Track 4! Take a leap of faith and close your eyes when you hit the fast sprints to All On Our Own by New Zealand band Midnight Youth. Power equals force times speed. The more resistance you use, the further distance you are going to travel and the more calories you’re going to burn. So switch on to power up! Track 5 is all about razor-sharp attacks. Don’t be fooled by the fun nature of The Prodigy’s Piranha – this is intense and you will be challenged! Quadruple resistance turns and Standing Attacks will push your heart rate through the roof. Speed is the focus for Track 6. Gradually increase your leg speed to this iconic RPM™ track – Bruised Water by Chicane featuring Natasha Bedingfield. Switch from speed to strength in Track 7. Look out for the heavy Power Climbs!

BODYVIVE™ 13 has a sporty feel with simple choreography that will make your class get the most out of their workout. Have fun with the new Boxing moves in Track 5 and look out for the new back exercise for GREAT POSTURE in Track 8. Play That Funky Music and build strong legs with the Squat & Hamstring Curl Combo in Track 2. Track 3 is a real classic – Earth, Wind & Fire’s September. Have fun with the Disco moves that will lift the intensity to new heights.
Get ready to stride across the room in the empowering Track 4! The anthem No More Tears (Enough Is Enough) will push you through the Squat with VIVE™ ball throw. Extend and lengthen your body and enjoy the poses, before getting down with the Balance & Leg Strength exercises to Five’s If Ya Gettin’ Down in Track 7.
The combination of one-legged balance work and upper body resistance will really challenge your class to push their limits. Track 9 is all about getting sexy hips!
